Full-Time Position

IBC Computers Brantford is currently seeking an experienced and reliable Computer Repair Technician / Retail IT Support Specialist to join our team in Brantford, Ontario.

We are looking for a motivated individual with strong technical knowledge, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. This position is intended for experienced candidates who already possess the required technical and communication skills. This is a professional business environment - not a training position.

Responsibilities:

Diagnose, repair, maintain, and upgrade desktop and laptop computers.
Troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, and peripheral issues.
Install and configure Microsoft Windows 10/11, macOS, Linux, and common business applications.
Perform malware removal, system optimization, data backup, and recovery services.
Assist customers with technical support, service recommendations, and product sales.
Schedule repairs, service appointments, and customer follow-ups.
Communicate clearly and professionally with customers regarding repair status and recommendations.
Maintain accurate documentation of repairs and customer interactions.
Handle warranty claims and coordinate with third-party repair or warranty providers when necessary.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store and repair workspace.
Ensure proper handling and security of customer data and company assets.

Requirements:

Minimum 2+ years experience in computer repair, IT support, or a related technical role.
Strong knowledge of:
- Microsoft Windows 10 & 11.
- Microsoft 365 / Office applications.
- Apple macOS and iOS.
- Linux systems.
- PC hardware diagnostics and repair.
- Basic networking and Wi-Fi troubleshooting
Experience with laptop repairs, desktop builds, upgrades, and maintenance.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Strong customer service and communication abilities.
Professional appearance and attitude.
Reliable, punctual, and organized.
Excellent time management skills.
Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure.
Must be fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
English must be the candidate’s first language or equivalent native-level fluency, as clear communication and full comprehension are essential for this role.
Must live in or near the Brantford area.
Must possess a valid Ontario G-Class driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Must be bondable and able to pass a criminal background check.

Candidates are expected to already have the experience and technical ability required to perform the job independently.
Preference will be given to local candidates with proven experience in computer repair and customer service.
